Alexander Society

Alexander Society

The Alexander Society recognises those who have made a provision for the future of Scotch College in their will.

The Society honours the role played by the Alexander family in establishing the School. William and Jane Alexander, concerned by the absence of a Presbyterian school for boys in Perth, made a gift of £500 to the Church in 1896 for the establishment of Scotch College.

This philanthropy began a tradition that has continued for more than 100 years and has allowed for the development of a range of resources for the School.

W A Gardner made a bequest of $68,000 in 1968 to establish a fund that has grown to more than $1 million, and assists sons and grandsons of Old Boys to attend the School.

A bequest is a tangible way to make a lasting gift that will contribute to the life of Scotch College.

Enquiries regarding making a bequest should be directed to the Development Office, on 08 9383 6832 or
